Production of First US-built A320 Begins

Engineers at the Airbus US Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama, have begun production of the first US-built A320. The aircraft is due to be delivered to ultra-low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines this summer.

Aircraft production at the site began in July 2015 with all 27 airframes delivered from Mobile so far being the largest variant of the A320 Family, the A321.
